Reason of use

Wound Cleaning & Dressing

Used to clean wounds, apply antiseptics or medications, and cover wounds as a primary dressing layer. The high absorbency of cotton effectively removes blood, wound exudate, and contaminants from the wound surface.

Padding & Protection

Used as a soft padding layer under bandages, splints, and plaster casts to protect bony prominences and sensitive tissue areas, preventing pressure sores and skin breakdown during immobilization.

General Nursing & Clinical Care

Widely used in daily nursing procedures including pre-injection swabbing, post-injection pressure, patient hygiene, skin preparation, and minor dressing changes in wards, OPDs, and outpatient settings.
