Product Overview:

AZITHRONAK® is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic formulated with Azithromycin Dihydrate, equivalent to 500 mg of Anhydrous Azithromycin per tablet. Known for its once-daily dosing and high tissue penetration, AZITHRONAK® effectively treats a wide range of bacterial infections, including respiratory, skin, ear, and sexually transmitted infections. It is especially preferred for its short treatment duration and high patient compliance.

    • Community-acquired pneumonia
    • Pharyngitis and tonsillitis
    • Acute bacterial sinusitis
    • Skin and soft tissue infections
    • Otitis media (middle ear infection)
    • Non-gonococcal urethritis and cervicitis
    • Chlamydia trachomatis infections

  • To be used strictly under medical supervision.

  • Adults: Usually 500 mg once daily for 3 days or as prescribed.

  • Can be taken with or without food.

  • Swallow whole with water, Do not crush or chew.

  • Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve earlier.

    • Not recommended in patients with known macrolide hypersensitivity
    • Use with caution in patients with liver impairment or prolonged QT interval
    • Avoid co-administration with antacids within 2 hours of dosing
    • Use under strict medical guidance during pregnancy and lactation
    • Do not skip doses or discontinue early without advice
