Antibiotic Suspension
Broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic oral suspension for treatment of bacterial infections including respiratory tract, urinary tract, gastrointestinal infections and otitis media, suitable for children.
Each 5ml contains: Ampicillin Trihydrate USP equivalent to Ampicillin – 125mg, Excipients q.s.
Colour: White to Off-White, Oral Suspension
Indicated for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal infections (including typhoid fever), otitis media, and gonorrhoea caused by susceptible organisms.
Adults and children over 20kg: 250-500mg every 6 hours. Children under 20kg: 100mg/kg/day in divided doses every 6 hours. Shake well before use and measure dose accurately using the measuring cup/spoon provided.

Oral use. Shake well before use. Reconstitute with water as per directions before dispensing.
24 Months from date of manufacture (unreconstituted). 7 days after reconstitution when stored below 25°C.
Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to penicillins. Use with caution in patients with history of allergy, asthma, or renal impairment. Not recommended in patients with infectious mononucleosis.
Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, and skin rash are most common. Serious hypersensitivity reactions including urticaria and anaphylaxis may occur rarely.
Effective against common Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial infections in children and adults.
Easy to administer with accurate dosing via measuring cup/spoon, suitable for children.
