  • Sterile Water for Injection BP 5 mL is used as a diluent or solvent for compatible injectable medicines. It must be used only when specified in the instructions for the medicine being prepared.

  • Sterile Water for Injection is not intended for direct intravenous injection on its own because it is hypotonic. It must not be administered directly unless specifically permitted by an approved medical procedure.
